100% Sustainably Sourced:
Our boards are made from one piece of spalted maple wood sourced from rural Western PA, created from fallen trees. We source this wood to give it new life as beautiful, functional, and decorative pieces for your home.
Rare:
Spalted maple is rare and difficult to find. Experts liken it to being “as tough as finding truffles in the forest.” The eye-catching, nature at its best, black wavy streaks are caused by the natural decay of the wood and must be captured at the right moment to use for woodworking.
Functional:
Our oversized cutting board will be the center of your entertaining spread- an authentic statement piece. They are perfect for:
everyday chopping
large charcuterie boards
serving breads and pastries
creating wine/liquor flights for tastings
Decorative:
We offer a wide range of artisan serving boards in various shapes and sizes to meet your needs. Each board is one-of-a-kind, designed by Alicia @The Intended Home to bring the best of nature's beauty into your home. These boards can be used as a:
kitchen backsplash
runner on a dining table with candles or flowers
"permanent" counter fixture for everyday chopping
stacked to add texture and a touch of nature
Wood Care:
We only use 100% natural, food-safe finishes. Your wooden board will last as long as you allow when cared for correctly. * Hand wash your board as needed with warm water and mild soap. * Do not put the board in the dishwasher. * Do not let it sit or soak in water. * Do not use bleach. * Towel off and allow to dry completely. * Recondition your boards periodically with food-safe mineral oil, depending on your use.
